If you would like to join our team, we are looking for a Deputy Housekeeper.

 

Main duties and responsibilities 

  • Support housekeeping management in all operational duties of the department, supervising the cleaning of rooms, public areas, and back-of-house, the maintenance of department equipment, and the management of the laundry department.
  • Ensure that housekeeping services are delivered correctly according to company standards, timelines, and resort procedures.
  • Guide the team in daily operations with the aim of correcting and improving service delivery.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping management in the seasonal opening/closing of the property.
  • Conduct department briefings based on day/evening shifts.
  • Check the status of incoming, outgoing, and turndown rooms.
  • Inspect common areas, verifying the work of relevant staff to ensure they are always well-maintained and clean.
  • Ensure that back-of-the-house areas are consistently clean and tidy.
  • Interact with guests and handle any special requests.
  • Pack and unpack as requested.
  • Manage lost and found items according to procedure.
  • Check linen quality and manage loading, unloading, and partial stock.
  • Report routine maintenance to the Maintenance Department; any extraordinary maintenance to your Service Manager.
  • Compile the end-of-shift report, conducting a thorough handover.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the Housekeeping department.
  • Follow LQA standards and supervise the team's correct implementation.

 

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Housekeeper/Assistant Executive Housekeeper in a 5-star and/or chain hotel.

• Good command of English; additional language skills would be an advantage.

• Knowledge of in-house laundry operations.

• Stress management and team coordination skills.

• Knowledge of basic housekeeping products.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and hotel management systems. Knowledge of the Protel operating system would be an advantage.

 

Contractual Terms 

  • Full-time contract under the National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL) for the Tourism sector.
  • Salary offer to be discussed during the selection process, based on professional background, market benchmarks, and company context.
