UMMI arrives at Castelfalfi.
On the Medici Terrace of our medieval Castle, a new dining experience comes to life, inspired by the meeting of Tuscany and Lebanon. The concept pays tribute to the Lebanese prince Fakhr al-Din II, known in Tuscany as Faccardino, who was welcomed by the Medici in the 17th century and became closely connected to the hills of Castelfalfi during his journeys between Pisa and Florence.
Amid spicy aromas and soft lighting, UMMI celebrates an authentic and convivial cuisine, where za’atar meets Tuscan extra virgin olive oil in a refined dialogue between two cultures. Leading this experience is Chef Hussein Hadid, an interpreter of elegant, contemporary, and deeply evocative Lebanese cuisine.
In case of bad weather, guests will be welcomed inside the Castle’s historic halls.
